Project meetings will take place in Olomouc (2020), Brighton - Eastbourne (2020) and Paderborn (2021) before each intensive study programme with all the project partners. The aim is to finish the plan of the intensive study programme and the following activities (blended mobility with field trip and conference), and to provide a forum for discussion and joint decision making within the partnership.
During the intensive study programmes, students will form international working groups (6 groups) and prepare own fictitious SDP projects. During the virtual mobility they will work on SDP project proposals under the guidance of project partners’ experts. Several online discussions and lectures will be organised during this phase. At the end of the online work, all the groups will meet during field trip (in Berlin 2020, in Belfast 2021, in Brussels in 2022).
Different SDP actors will be visited and talks with them organised. Students will discuss and reflect the knowledge and skills they gained during the meetings. This structure will enable the participants to deepen their own knowledge and internalize the whole one-year learning process.
One day conference will be organized each year at the end of the field trip (Berlin 2020, Belfast 2021, and Brussels 2022). Students will present their work and the whole Consortium will showcase the results of the research activities. All relevant SDP stakeholders will be invited.
A common reference framework will be developed to facilitate a common curriculum for the project partners, and act as a foundation for best practice for teaching and assessment of SDP and how it relates to policy and practice. The aim is to present best practice and a uniform delivery required of stakeholders. It will build on the expertise of the project partners, help establish a collaborative network between higher education providers and practitioners, and identify best practice from this network.
The framework will be adaptable so it can be applied to those studying SDP as a stand-alone programme, or as an element within higher education degree programmes in Sport Studies, Sport Management, Sport Coaching, Physical Education, International Development, Peace Studies, Sociology, Politics or International Relations.
